That isn't remotely true. There are numerous examples of Montreal running up the score in the 60's when Beliveau was captain.

Check out games 19, 26, 29, 48 (9 goals!), 51, and 62. And that is just one season.

I don't have issues with running up the score.

So many contracts are structured (and subsequently negotiated) around point totals, so it's in everyone's best interest for the point totals to go up.

Also, if teams don't like it getting blown out? Get your fucking asses in gear and stop the other team from scoring.

it is an unwritten rule not to put out top power play unit up that much after the last TV timeout but Kweefe still is recovering his manhood from 2020 2021 and 2022 so I understand why he did it
