We got blown out a lot also?I hear a lot about all these close games but despite all that hopium, our goal differential was -53...5th worst in the league -- right where we're finishing in the standings.

Good.Ok I didn’t get any of the last two games in.
How did Hutson and Logan look?
We got blown out a lot also?
Hutson plays the white way so no problem.Hutson likes to go for skates with the puck like Subban, fans will like that. Coaches, it depends on how many turnovers he has, whether the coaches will like it.

When was the last time Wings played a meaningful game on the last night of the season ?
He took over a shit mess like Hugo
Yeah, and Detroit is not really a young team . . . and their goaltending is meh at best. And to be fair, Yzerman's mandate is more win now, try to make the playoffs every year than the Habs. The Red Wings can't sell tickets if they lose like the Habs have been losing the last 3 years. So he has to do what Bergevin used to do. Waste time and assets on trying to patch together a team that might be able to squeak into 8th place and get a couple of playoff gates before being annihilated.
What I saw the last two games from Detroit was all too familiar. What they are now is what the Habs were under Bergevin. I don't want to be the team of "make the playoffs and anything can happen". I don't want to use playoff appearances to hide the fact that our team is thoroughly mediocre with no realistic chance of winning. I've seen that movie before and the ending is always bad.
I want a team that is legitimately good and a credible playoff team with an actual chance to win a Cup, not a perennial fraud that finishes 8th - 10th place every year.
Detroit is a patchwork team of mediocrity like we used to be. In fact, there are a couple of guys wearing Red Wings unis who used to wear ours (Chariot and Petry) It's no "team of the future"; it's a team of "right now" and by next season it'll be the team of "we had hoped", desperately in need of a tear-down and a proper tank which it may or may not get.Yeah, and Detroit is not really a young team . . . and their goaltending is meh at best.

I think an OTL is also finewe need to hope for an ARI win now to get to 5th
you need to start treating the Canadiens like you did the Expos and now the Alouettes. Just be happy they exist and don't expect anything. Sometimes you catch lightning in a bottle like the 2023 mediocre Alouettes. if after 5 years all you can point to is "progress", you have failedYzerman has drafted well
A few signings I wouldnt do but in 5 years there is progress
