Need more skill up and down the lineup.
A 2C and another big D would be transformative.

Ya. I'm keeping expectations realistic. When newhook is your second line centre you are gonna have a bad time.A 2C and another big D would be transformative.
You trading WifiIf Reinbacher can stay healthy for more than a week, the end of next year might be

i disagree on this one, Suzuki line adjusted and they dominated in the 3rd..Suzuki line dominated game 1 but capitals adjusted.
Habs have been better at home all season so it will help.
Agreed that the habs needed some bounces to advance.
Laine. Well. He is a gadget player. But he is probably also playing on one leg.
Well in game 1 we out scored the Caps 2-0 in the 3rd on 14 shots.. last night we out shot the Caps in the 3rd 14-5 and had some great looks, Thompson made 2-3 big saves that could of turned the game around.. I stand by what i said , we were the better team in the 3rd period in both games. They dominated the 3rd because the Caps went to the prevent defense. But how many second chance opportunities did the Habs get? Most of their shots were of the "one and done" variety.
After 2 periods they had 70 percent expected goal save iirci disagree on this one, Suzuki line adjusted and they dominated in the 3rd..
But absolute shit in the first 2 periods of both games.Well in game 1 we out scored the Caps 2-0 in the 3rd on 14 shots.. last night we out shot the Caps in the 3rd 14-5 and had some great looks, Thompson made 2-3 big saves that could of turned the game around.. not at all, we were pretty even in the first last night, it was about a 5 minute stretch where the Capitals got the lucky goal off Savard and then the rebound goal where we panicked. But absolute shit in the first 2 periods of both games.
Speed kills their forecheck game. Need to replace 58 and 92 with 91 and 72. More speed. In both games we started to dominate once we started opening up the game. I think we need to be more aggressive earlier in the game even if it means trading chances, otherwise Caps are more than happy to forecheck us into oblivion.
Yeah, not much sustained pressure. Until late in both games. The Caps were square to Montembault. We weren't much. They dominated the 3rd because the Caps went to the prevent defense. But how many second chance opportunities did the Habs get? Most of their shots were of the "one and done" variety.
I agree we were the better team in the 3rd, but the game is 60 minutes long. You can't just show up for the last 20 and hope to pull off a miracle.Well in game 1 we out scored the Caps 2-0 in the 3rd on 14 shots.. last night we out shot the Caps in the 3rd 14-5 and had some great looks, Thompson made 2-3 big saves that could of turned the game around.. After Dvorak scored, our next shift was good and we were in the Caps' zone. But after that we got caved for the rest of the period and blew the lead.not at all, we were pretty even in the first last night, it was about a 5 minute stretch where the Capitals got the lucky goal off Savard and then the rebound goal where we panicked.
U don't "blow" 1 goal leadsAfter Dvorak scored, our next shift was good and we were in the Caps' zone. But after that we got caved for the rest of the period and blew the lead.
One goal or ten, a lead is a lead is a lead. Either you hold it or you blow it. There's no "2 goal minimum" applied to blown lead statistics of which I'm aware.U don't "blow" 1 goal leads
