There's no point worrying about Xhekaj taking penalties. The refs are in the tank for the Caps and we're going to get screwed by them whether Xhekaj plays or doesn't. But at least he can exact a cost on the Caps when they take liberties like they've been doing. Start crosschecking Ovi in the face and see how they like it.

The only argument in favor of keeping Laine in the lineup is his powerplay scoring. But the Habs aren't getting powerplays so Laine isn't worth keeping for the one or two man advantage opportunities we get each game. I'd sooner see Pezzetta at this point. At least he plays like he gives a shit.

Its bad enough (his uselessness) on TV. It must be glaringly obvious in the rink. I feel for him if he's hurting badly and just can't do it. But either way, now is not the time to worry about hurting feelings, or playing hurt players.
