GDT | Game 86 | vs Capitals | Sunday, April 27th | 6:30 PM EDT. WE BELONG!

Habs scored both goals on PP, Caps went 0-for-5 on their PP

Habs were outscored 3-0 at 5-on-5, Suzuki’s line was owned by Strome - and faceoffs were putrid. Caps adjusted from game 3, Habs couldn’t counter those adjustments despite having last change

That’s the reason Habs lost, not because of reffing, as Caufield said:

“At the end of the day, only one team wins,” he said. “We had the lead going into the third, a couple of tough bounces. But I think it’s right there for us, and we’ve just got to find a way to move on and be better for the next game.”

Habs are learning how to “shut it down” which is a process all teams who win eventually figure out

New process for the Habs 4 years removed from the playoffs

Good learning experience about the grind and attention to detail required in the playoffs
