GDT: Hurricanes at Blue Jackets, 1/12, 7PM Eastern

Great win last night - thanks to our suddenly offensively potent blue line! Freddie looked very good after a 2-month mystery absence. Necas channels Joni Pitkanen (or Jeb Stuart with his ride around the Union army). And Svech was definitely off his game. PP is still an effort in futility.

Now let's make this a winning weekend, please.
 
Hard not to like a game where you get 5 freaking goals from the D ... even if the opposing goalie was just dreadful. Honestly, the Canes have seen enough crappy goalies pull a great game out of their butts this season to deserve whatever it was Korpisalo was doing last night. Aho backing up a strong effort on Tuesday convinced me that he's actually back and healthy ... or healthy enough to skate lime himself. And it was nice to see Freddie even if he didn't have to do much. He was solid in the one flurry of pressure Columbus mounted and there wasn't much he could do on the goals he allowed. Good first game back. Something to build on.
