hate that icing. if it's an ice because a guy steps up to make a hit, and the puck goes past, him, it shouldn't be an icing.

marner is 19 and not particularly big and will have his dzone struggles. but he wasn't the problem on that line. bozaks lines have always had issues getting hemmed in their own zone. no matter who he plays with.

Not really blaming him mbow. I know he is 19 and kinda limited physically, plus he'll get better, but i would have just played him with 2 guys with the ability to do work along the wall. Naz and Komarov is fine but what worries me big time is how bad both Komarov and Naz have been this season(on both ends). Naz, for some reason he's doing same shit he was doing in his rookie season(so many turnovers instead of safe plays). Somehow i think hes jealous of the young boys and wants to show us how skilled he is(and as usual fails to make those great plays the 3 elite guys are able to do..so the puck is turned over a lot). But yea i agree Bozak was at fault on that play, it's just that having JVR and Marner not able to do much on the boards does not help. Brown up there will be able to balance it up a bit. You say Bozak hasn't been able to play defensively with anybody but come on, we haven't seen him play with anybody else(for long stretches)..It's always been him JVR, Phil and few other guys on a few ocassions. Just like i said that he'd be fine without Phil offensively i think the same defensively(he'd do good with 2 strong board guys so he can focus on more of a cycle game because he cant keep up with Marner in terms of overall vision and rush type plays).

Play started because JVR was floating around the blueline while buddy jumps up untouched on the shoot around.
 
jvr too lazy to get to the boards on that shot around, Bozak too lazy to stay with his man.
