GDT: Pittsburgh Penguins @ Canadiens - Sat Jan 9, 2016 - 7:00 pm ET

Not like Subban is sucking this year; he is 7th in NHL d-scoring, is leading Habs +11 while playing a lot and getting goal yesterday was great to see finally. Petry has played OK, has seemed a bit 'off' for past while for sure, but still was doing fine.
How will Mgmt deal with Pateryn after that 'poor' decision on Pitt's 2nd goal, paste him to pressbox?

It's not about Subban sucking - Cup teams have a dominant top D-pairing, its Markov who sucks and has obviously been for quite a while now. That 3-yr deal was a cap disaster waiting to happen...

Markov is 20th in d-scoring, not sure that many GMs would complain about adding him.

Disagree, as I said last summer MBs #1 priority was to find a Markov succession plan - especially given the reliance on transition game. The Habs don't have a #1 pairing & its effected Subban's game & the overall team dynamic.
It's clear to me now that Bergevin isn't interested in addressing problems; he prefers to kick his problems down the road. So instead of cutting Markov loose he resigns him so he doesn't have to immediately deal with the problem of how to replace him. He did the same thing with Pleks. He'd rather keep signing cheap, low risk band-aids like Fleischmann and Byron than actually address the real issue.

I just don't see how it seems every other team has better prospects than we do. How is that possible.
It's one or both of two possibilities: either Timmins is drafting duds or these prospects are being turned into duds by the developmental staff and the coaches. I suspect it's a little from column A and a little from column B
