I don't see him as having the same IQ on the back end as offense. Probably should have been a forward growing up. If they can get him to average numbers on the D side, metrics to zero, it's a win for me.

I guess it seems the “rebuild” could be building some solid on D? If they get lucky and play their cards right re: development, this might become a good D core for a competitive team in a few seasons.

If so, I hope he purchased flight insurance for that one-way flight to Stockholm that he surely booked a few weeks ago.

According to GGpx that slick passing is costing him millions in lost earnings in Sweden

Hundreds of thousands, actually. $80k in Laval or $200k+ in Europe. Plus, home cooking! Downside, taxes might actually be worse than those in Quebec.

And unless Matheson's injury is more severe than reported, there's no path for Norlinder to make this team. He's, at best, fifth on the LHD depth chart behind Matheson/Guhle/Xhekaj/Harris.

Maybe he'll make up for it with when he gets called up for half a dozen games when injuries inevitably happen, unless they call up Trudeau before him.
