He's living his dream. Not only is he an impact NHLer at 19 but he's playing for the team he idolized growing up. Can't get any better than that. I'd be giddy too.

Seeing him dance in excitement after a goal is what my dreams as a kid were made of. Dream come true for the kid. I can't even imagine the feeling to put on the blue and white and have the skill/talent to become a star player. Its one thing for a guy like Clarkson to come here but Marner is looking like a franchise level talent.
When he got drafted you could see his genuine happiness. Look at the faces of Connor McDavid and Dylan Strome in contrast to Marner. Those feelings obviously were just initial reactions and they probably love where they are but its still not like playing for your favorite hometown team.

What's amazing is that the pressure doesn't seem to affect him at all.

Breaking in with a bunch a talented rookies and an awesome coach is probably a big part of it. He also seems to be a pretty chill guy.

Yes. Matthews is a very reserved guy who doesn't show his emotion (remember his 4 goal games? He was barely celebrating after the 4th one ... and Grapes approves that lol) ... Willy is always chilled, but Marner is exuberant with every goal, every win, every pass ... and don't forget, he grew up a die hard Leafs fan himself (so is Brown, btw). Matthews will probably be the best player of the 3, but Marner is probably the one I'll like the most.
