What do we do if our possession improves significantly over the last half of the season but we don't actually win more?
 
tough night for franson. bit of bad luck.

nice to see a penalty called against anaheim. they've gotten away with a few - some stickwork, some interference.
 
big difference tonight has been the quality shots. all three ducks goals are off players getting good, clean shots off their sticks. all the leafs shots are into skates or at the least with an anaheim stick disrupting the shot.

can't think of andersen having to go post to post or face hard shots from the high slot in too often tonight. maybe one post to post. nothing clean on net.

I dunno. Kessel had a clean break like perry did. And Perry's first goal was just a shot thru traffic.

kessel hit the side of the net.

on the first perry goal, it might have been through traffic, but he was able to walk into the high slot and take a shot, that didn't touch anything until franson's skate a half a foot in front of bernier.
 
It will be interesting to see if they can stick to the new system if the continue to fire blanks or not fire at all, as the case may be.
