Stanley will be in the building and he’s coming back to Raleigh one way or another. Hopefully, it’s in the Canes charter, not the league’s.

RBA says “everyone’s available”. Really the only question is if Andersen dresses as the backup or EBUG.

For Vegas, how do they replace Karlsson? Move Marner to center? Hertl? Do they dress Saad or Smith? Saad played 3 games against Anaheim and 2 against the Avs. Smith played all 6 games in the Utah series and none since.

For Carolina, I’d guess that they’ll dress Andersen if he’s good to actually play and otherwise dress Kooch. For Vegas, I’d guess they’ll dress Saad because he can at least pitch in on the second PP unit and is slightly less cooked than Smith. I don’t think they’ll go to Marner at center though. I’m thinking Hertl there. They’re going to miss Karlsson in the faceoff circle in addition to everything else, as he was breaking even in a series where the Knights have pretty badly lost the faceoff battle.

For me, here’s the question. Has Carolina actually figured this series out? If so, then previous results indicate that they will go put their boot on Vegas’ collective neck tonight. This team is pitiless when they have your number. If not and they’ve just done a better job of finishing chances over the last two games, then this one could get snug. Because there ain’t a lot between them overall and there’s not a ton of room out there for anybody. Then it turns into an isolated play here and there, presuming the goalies match each other.

Either way … let’s do this.
