it seems to me that if you are gonna trade for other team's reject prospect, at least take a chance on one that actually has some offensive upside (but obviously hasn't panned out yet).

When someone flat out admits to being a defensive player, why even bother getting a player like that ? We have so many in the AHL....

And which such prospect was available?

Not sure what people don't get about Danault. Weise is a 3rd/4th liner. We weren't going to get a top 6 player.

Also, even though we have similar players. Danault helps with our Francophone quota. The other scrubs can still be dealt. Won't be surprised to see DSP/Mitchell be dealt.
