GDT: Winnipeg Jets @ Canadiens - Sun Nov 1, 2015 - 7:00 pm ET

Wow this thread is dead. I guess winning might be too boring for some? :p

Watching the Impact
Had to be the busiest day on my TV ever;

10:00 am early NFL games / DC United - Red Bulls game
1:00 pm Cowboys game / Alouettes game
2:00 pm Vancouver - Portland MLS game starts / Cowboys game on / Als game on
4:00 pm Cowboys game still going on / Als game just ending (although this one was over long before the end) / Habs game starts / Impact game starts
6:00 pm Habs game still on/ Impact game still on / The Walking Dead starts / Dallas - Seattle MLS game starts

Nothing to get too excited about. The Jets' starting goalie was channelling Red Light Raccicot. 4 goals on 9 shots.

I get it the Habs have beaten up on some sub-par goaltending performances so far this year (Johnson, Ortio, Hutchinson), but that's what good teams are supposed to do against sub-par goaltending. You know as well as I do that last year's team would have eked out wins in these instances. It is something to get excited about - far more exciting than listening to you say "I told you so" when the team loses a game. At least for the rest of us, that is.

Well Mindz and his computer program has predicted we will fall apart. As a result, there is no need to play the games.

We have, after only 13 games, become so blase about winning that no one could be bothered to start a GBU thread after last night's game.

This is the fundamental difference between Habs fans and fans of other teams. When the Habs win it doesn't feel extra special; it merely feels normal. The earth is once again turning on its proper axis. If the Leafs were 11-2 the hysterical posting on the Leafs board would single handedly destroy the Internet. Habs fans are simply bred to winning. That's why it's best that the Habs win. Their fans are the only ones who know how to handle success in stride. Fans of other teams are like schizophrenics who forgot to take their meds. It's not pretty.
