As has been discussed a thousand times... we need a few things. At the bare minimum, we need a 2C and a top 4 dman.

I'm definitely hoping that we can lure Matt Duchene to his childhood favorite team. He'd be a fantastic 2C for us.

We might have to trade for a dman... unless somehow Ekblad signs here for a reasonable price. Not happening.
 
Definitely an absolutely huge success of a season for the Habs. Even the most optimistic fan could not have realistically expected to make the playoffs. They are ahead of schedule and have a full season of Demidov to look forward to next season. Also, a Lane Hutson coming off a Calder trophy win.

We can finally enter a season with real expectations for the first time in a very long time.

I would sign Provorov if we can't get Ekblad. He's a prick too.
 
We need a dmen that can get a shot through traffic from the point.

The PP went silent after teams figured us out....teams don't even bother jumping on 48 at the point, they just try to cover 13 and 93 on the sides.....
 
I was/am really disappointed we didn't pay whatever the asking price was for Chychrun both times he got traded.

Great season but the last 2 months run was unsustainable heading into the playoffs

Our bottom 6 was productive down the stretch but was invisible in the playoffs

The lack of a second line and overall team scoring killed us this series

Lots of work required in the summer

We also had 2 midgets in our top-4 on defense.....Caps had it so easy pushing them around

Losing Savard, Dvorak, Armia will push us back.
 
I'm glad we played the young guys and didn't go to the vets. Kudos to the coaching staff
