He's still worth a first.

We don't have anyone to replace him though and his skating is hard to replace. You have to take the good with the bad with him. When he's good he's great and when he's bad he's really bad.

He’s been a workhorse for us this year, playing all the hard minutes, playing on either sides. He didn’t have that many bad games this year but man when he does, ouch, he’s really bad.

I like them when they incorporate real data and not subjective data like GSaE. It's a highly flawed stat.

Goaltender data is hard to quantify, I will give you that. SV% is still one of the better ones.

I've changed my mind before. GSaE is like +/-, very flawed. If you want to cling to flawed stats go right ahead.

He was better than Blackwood though.

Dobes first like 6-7 games were lights out, he regressed since but those games heavily weight on his stats. I would have totally rode him longer during that stretch, just ride the hot goalie, fuck egos. Monty coming out of 4 nations has been phenomenal, but last 3 games (mostly the Sens/NYI) have been less good. You know I agree with you about resting Monty right?

No he wasn't. Other teams also know what he is, irrespective of his 62 pts. That was an outlier.

BS , career year and 2 full playoff seasons at 4.5 is worth gold .
