Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

His assistants are no threat to him. Not that one's assistants need to pose threats to the head coach, but a novice coach like MSL needs a veteran assistant who can be the voice of reason in his ear. Stephane Robidas is not that guy. He is yet another DEI hire by a franchise that is too concerned with linguistic optics. Robidas was a mediocrity as a player, an objectively bad defenseman, and is a below average coach. He is yet another clown who would never get hired by another team. He needs to be replaced with someone who has some actual gravitas. I wish we could get Luke Richardson back.

WTF are u even blabbering on about?

That veteran coaches name is longtime USA Hockey coaching director Roger Grillo who’s renowned for his tactical abilities, was brought on board as special advisor to MSL at start of the season, and has been following the Habs from a Birds Eye view in the press box post 4-Nations.

Yes… his earpiece goes directly down to the assistants on the bench.

Amazon broadcast even showed MSL telling Demigod he was 4th up in SO

The past few years bottom tier PK & PP adjustments to top-10 and middle of the pack respectively are due to Grillo’s suggested adjustments

Yeah you're fluffing this one mate. While the PK still sits at 9th the PP is 21st.

I'm not a huge fan of Grillos and if he was anything worth his salt our D zone coverage wouldn't look like recess at kindergarten.
