Habs Season Thread: Offseason 2025

Especially when you are trying to establish yourself as a player. You need to show what you can do in meaningful games. The Rocket are a top team and are competing for a championship. The Habs arent playing any meaningful games until next season at the earliest.

I have no “proof” obviously but I’m guessing something is up with Laine again off the ice, unfortunately. I know he’s not a good even strength player but this really is beyond a normal slump, IMO, as is the team’s reaction to it.
I think he is what he is , a streaky gunslinger

Many players have that new team bump early on and that PP success was unsustainable

why do people laugh if you have a gaming addiction but go awww if you are an alchie or druggy
Because gaming isn't an addiction that grown ass men should have. A 26 year old millionaire professional athlete should be spending his off ice hours in the VIP section of Chez Paree with his teammates, not cooped up in his condo playing fucking video games and watching comic book superhero movies like a 12 year old.

And, incidentally, not all of us go "awwwe" when a player reveals an addiction to drugs and booze because some of us resent that kind of stupidity in a pro athlete who has literally been given everything on a silver platter. But at least drugs and alcohol are adult pastimes. I've zero sympathy for man-children. Grow the fuck up and put away childish things.

So who is getting traded ?
I think Dvorak survives because his value is the lowest and we need bodies to finish the season.

And he's only "good" at faceoffs compared to his teammates, who are objectively awful at them. It's not like he's an elite faceoff guy or anything, just competent.
