Germans are more demureDifferent personality for sure, Slaf is a bit more flamboyant while David seems a bit more reserved, maybe a bit shy, but he seems fairly confident, we'll see how he handles adversity.

Reinbacher is Austrian and played in Switzerland. Neither country is known for its flamboyant personalities (except for Adolf Shickelgruber) He's taciturn where Slaf is ebouilliant.
But I've also seen him in after whistle scrums and he doesn't come off as meek by any means. He can be quite truculent when he wants to be. He'll give a guy the stick when they fuck around.

Redenbacher is playing like a man amongst boys, he went into shutdown mode last game, gave the opposition nothing, no errors, no miscues, no chances at all in Dzone. Quick, hard & precise tape to tape outlets / transition out.
True to his Austrian / Germanic heritage…. efficient.

We need to add to the core, not swap it out.

Nor would I. I'd love to add Lafreniere but not at the cost of Slaf.
The problem when dealing with the Rangers is that they are always in "win now" mode so picks and prospects are of little interest to them. They only want bona-fide NHL players who can help them win today, not 3 or 4 years from today, so they aren't looking at what Laval has, they're looking at our current 23 man roster.
I'd happily give them Newhook, but I don't think the Rangers would be much interested. Matheson and Newhook? Matheson, Newhook and Anderson?
