Habs Season Thread: Regular Season 2025-26

He will never amount to anything but a bottom 6 player. The reason he looks good while playing with Demidov is because of Demidov. He's built for the Swiss league, not the NHL.

But given the camp he's had I would have a tough time cutting him. He earned his roster spot. But all it does is highlight the fact that we need a legitimate 2C because we don't have one.

You're wrong, again.

So is Krusty.

Kapanen is a player.

There’s also nothing wrong with a stacked bottom six. That’s how the Panthers and other teams have won the cup.

Nobody said he was. You are pigeon holing him. Maybe he grows into one at some point, maybe he doesn’t. He’s a solid third line guy all day long and you need them to win.

We’re not disagreeing. But Demi is on his own fir the time being, which is not optimal.

Laine is a one trick pony PP specialist. Do not resign that guy. He’s so painful to watch 5-on-5. Simply just too slow and clunky for this NHL.

He may be a “player” but he’s not a second line center. Will not be maximizing Demidov’s talent until we get one.
While not ideal, it’s also not the worst option. He’s a predictable responsible player with a finishing touch, that leaves the playmaking to Demidov while he handles the rest of the little things.

Who said he'll center Demi anyway? I don't know where all this is coming from.
