Habs v Laffs

I do, but I can only tell you next Tuesday.

2nd game for the Leafs, backup goalie, home game, wanting to avoid a 3 game loss streak, there was many factors in our favors tonight.

Alphabet is gonna crush earnings.

Verizon, the parent company of Yahoo Finance, said that it saw increases in both post-paid wireless customers and pre-paid customers.

Leafs are regressing....they are a far too easy team to play against.

when people say they are lacking some grit and sandpaper they aren’t wrong.

they’ll be in a dog fight to make the playoffs.

Not sure they need sandpaper but their defensive awareness is putrid way too often.

they are too easy to play against, I watch this team often and I see no emotion no desire to get their noses dirty or to take hits to make plays or to wear down teams physically.

they miss Kadri and they need some players who bring that intensity

I agree re: Kadri. He plays with sandpaper and I really didn't see any Leaf forward play that way.

I’m starting to get the feeling what we see is what it is wrt the standings. TBay will not runaway with it like last season and those extra points they racked up will be distributed amongst the other teams. Buf will come back to the pack, Bruins my end up winning the division but they won’t runaway with it.

Habs are well positioned IMO, they should stay with the herd, and it’ll come down to young players injecting talent + positive energy - upward progression of KK, Suzuki, Mete at NHL level, and Poehling, even Evans sneaking into 4th line spot (over NT in second half) with uptick AHL development and Caufield pulling a McAvoy post WJC as late season insertion.

Looking forward to the 1st Habs vs Bruins game - IMO that’ll provide a good barometer of how the Habs stack up.

Rask is on fire.

The Bruins are playing well however the Habs usually step up for those games. It will be a decent barometer should the Habs start playing with consistency. If you beat the Bruins but lose to teams like the Wild then what's the point?

We'll see soon enough, Bruins @ Habs on Tuesday Nov. 5.

The other aspect as always is whether zebras start to put away their whistles as Xmas arrives. Theoretically would help Weber, Chiarot, & PK (fewer calls against), combined with continued 5-on-5 dominance the Habs have carried over from last season....SHOULD bode well for continued success.

They need to go on a serious winning streak at some point. They are behind last year’s cadence.

Bumping along with wins and OTLs here and there can get you 90ish points and another low lottery pick.

We played 2 back-to-back games and we lost the second one both times. Detroit and Wild. I don't think it's a coincidence.
