Hey Nerds: Blockchain

I thought we already had covid vaccines?

how quickly you became one of those Americans who doesn't give a shit about the rest of the world....you probably don't even have a passport. No Harvey's for you unless you ask Jerry nicely to bring some when he lands in LA

I don’t follow much news this year, that’s for sure. But isn’t it just a matter of supply and soon Pfizer and Moderna will be everywhere?

I've been accumulating long and short dated calls in ARCT. If it's good enough for Cathie Wood, it's good enough for me.

Calls seem cheap given they are in the mRNA space and currently conducting Covid vax trials in Vietnam.

Of course, it can go to zero but if the news is great their market cap of $1B has a lot of room to explode. MRNA market cap is currently 100X greater.

TL;DR I am risking the equivalent of a weekend in NYC for a potential $250K windfall.
Thanks for the info

Oh and one thing about the Valneva product and many vaccines in development right now:

They are more variant proof than Pfizer and Moderna. Valneva uses the older technology used in the Polio vaccine but it targets more than just the spike protein as the mrna products do. The next gen vaccines will continue to strive for improvement on what we currently have.

ARCT product is much cheaper...so if works, it'll be a big winner

They also have other interesting things in their pre-clinical pipeline. Ultimately, I just like the risk/reward and always reserve a tiny bit of my folio for potential moonshots.

Oh and you get a ginormous t-cell response from Valneva which likely means much slower waning and superior protection against severe disease. A lot of the next gen vaccines will be focusing on t-cells as opposed to antibodies. It could be a key tool if all goes well.

If the rich countries are gonna hoard the mrna products and boost every 6 months, this is the way for the rest of the world.

What’s it currently trading at?

Just to show you what this sector can do. I held AVIR for like 2 months. They are making an oral antiviral for covid. Bought at ~25, sold at 30 because their phase 3 trial results were supposed to be out in August and by mid-September we heard nothing and that spooked me. Shortly after I sold, Merck released their results for their product and they were amazing so AVIR went up to around $47 as we were pricing in success for this product as well.. and ol' Presto was feeling some regrets.

Well last week they released their trial results and they weren't very good. It was POTENTIALLY due to the design of the trial and not so much that the product is any worse than Merck's, but that doesn't matter.

This is now a $12 stock.

Weed stocks absolutely flying lately. Loving this generational opportunity.
