Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Comparatively sure, but I think almost all my purchases have been about the market not having the same foresight and not pricing in the good stuff seemingly obviously ahead.

And ZM does seem like one of those to me. I didn't think I'd see it back below $400 after yesterday, and now that it is, I have to keep giving it my attention.

These weed stocks are as easy as... MSO X is reporting earnings in 5 trading days.. Buy MSO X and Y and Z that will report in the coming weeks as well and enjoy effortless 20+% gains. And then sell a week or two after as they consolidate until the next earning season.

Seems too easy right? Well they've mostly all listed since Aug/Sep 2018 and this has been the pattern every single time. Every. Single. Time.

My approach to investing is so laughably eye test and basic numbers, it would make Zeke cry if he gave stocks the same attention he gives hockey.

Yeah, we all have what we're good at. Like something like this strategy I could never roll out, as it just feels like timing and gambling. I'd probably always get it wrong. I always have in my head that that one time the pattern I see won't hold is the time that I buy in relying on it.

I worry about MSO uplists because mother fucking everything appears to be priced in on the big board exchanges. I prefer when I can outsmart the market. Not possible with the ZMs of the world.

yes it is...plenty of strategies I use that depend on pre-earnings runup....the data is quite strong on certain stocks that show a repeatable edge if you buy options 10 days before earnings and sell just before earnings

If I was 100% confident in it I'd put everything I have in them and take out loans and shit. There will be a time where it doesn't work. But I suspect that won't be until there's an uplist. Basically the hype and visibility fades in between earning seasons and it's as basic as supply of shares not equaling demand (hence the low volume fades). But when earning season comes around demand greatly exceeds supply as we're all ramping up for a month of huge visibility, including on mainstream media.

I know there are a lot of strategies surrounding this, no doubt. But is there a 100% success rate with this strategy? From what I've noticed, that's not the case. But maybe I'm wrong.

My point was that this exact same pattern has happened 100% of the time since 2018. Minimum 20% runs, often a lot more. And then 10-30% fades in between, often a lot more.

nothing works all the time....but even at 70%...with enough repetition/discipline you are banking serious coin over time

even the MOS dance is not 100% guaranteed -- otherwise, like you said, you would go all in 4x year, take 10 months off and make so much money you could hire the best tax attorney in the country to fight your case when the CRA comes after you.

I mean if the LOFect selloff indicator doesn't work 100%, nothing does

that was my big takeaway so far in 2021

Well I never said it was guaranteed in the future. I said that there is quite literally a 100% success rate. That's kind of one of a kind, no? That was my only point.

I'm not arguing your point...I think you're one of the MSOS GOATS...but let's say your backtest shows 7 for 7 during the last 7 earnings report, does that mean you're mortgaging the house because the next earnings period is guaranteed to make it 8 for 8? Not sure...

Nope. Wasn't my point either! All I said is that the entire sector has been on the same pattern since summer of 2018 when they listed. You can literally see the ebs and flows in the long-term charts. The only pops came from earnings and the dips came in between. 100% of the time. It's crazy.

And there's a perfectly logical explanation for it. It's all from demand coming and going in extreme ways. I'm not the only dummy who figured it out.

Honestly, I think I just somehow bought MSOS a little early. A week later, and right now we'd be talking about the selloff signal every day.

A week earlier and oh man, Thumb at $23. Damn.

Alright, I'm gonna go hoard me some lunch. Keep the board warm for me in case I can't bring myself to do any work this afternoon either.

What a lazy fucking fuck I've become.

what about the Georgia senate race tho...not earnings related but a massive jolt that earnings may not even match this time around

Jezus - ZM down $37 now with 3x its usual volume.

They should've learned from Apple and FB and NOT reported blowout earnings. Huge mistake.
