out of my trading longs....keeping some AAPL puts from earlier...will cover if it can manage to reclaim 120.

If by good you mean absolutely petrifying bad, thanks my man! Only saving grace is my puts protecting me from a potential catastrophe. If we get a complete roll over longer term all of my long losses will be completely erased and more.

But I'm not convinced that happens. So the solution: nibble on long positions slowly and cautiously. There will be big bounces along the way and my bollinger band indicators are jumping up and down and screaming at me to buy and buy aggressively.
 
Man...I have positions everywhere....tech, energy, financials, consumer cyclical, weed... Just doesn't matter. All is red.
 
The problem with this shit is, if you're not holding in an account that lets you defer taxes, you can't just sell on weakness to avoid damage because then you have a big tax bill. If you sell, incur the taxes, and everything goes right back up in short order, how fucking dumb would that be to just cut the government a check for nothing and miss the ride back up? Not that I would sell or try to time things like that, but I can't even really entertain it because I'm not willing to incur the tax hit (although now that I think of it maybe 1/3 of my portfolio is in a tax deferred account), so I sit on my hands and just watch it unfold. Fucking annoying.

You guys have done well the last 12-18 months navigating this ship , hopefully you took healthy profits along the way

Maybe weed wasn't hit that hard yesterday? Because the one-two combo of the last two days makes my gut hurt. Hoping there's no uppercut coming up.
