in fairness to Gary, take Florida, great state to live in, great weather, great infrastructure and no state income tax. However, you do pay tolls on highways which can add up. Hell I paid $17.00 in tolls for 2 days so there are other costs to living there. That said, if I could practice there, I would move there tomorrow. I would imagine that prosecutors in Canada, like in the U.S., have some immunity for decisions to prosecute, as without it, they might be become overly gun-shy. It would also be hard to prove. Finally, if they sue, they will have to re-litigate the entire incident. Not happening.
