I need some votes here you jerks

If its heading into the season then that changes everything because ROR doesn't factor in, and he is arguably the best #5 they've had. But if it includes deadline acquisitions then I think the supporting casts are similar.

ROR = Naz
Bunting = Young Hyman
Krok = Johnsson
Kerf = Kappy
Acciari = Marleau
Kampf > Goat
Lafferty < Ennis
ZAR < Brown

But 2022-23 Matthews/Marner > 2018-19 Matthews/Marner and 2022-23 Willy >>>>>> 2018-19 Willy.

I think i was trying for "bulk of the season" type comp. You can include the deadline adds but not really as fulltime players i don't think. ROR only played 13gms.

A "playoffs lineup" comp is a different comparison which we can also do now but is probably better done later.

Now you are just being greedy.

I still pick prime big 3 though.

21-22 definitely seems to be the peak year so far, with 20-21 not far behind.

Marner's off year last year really hurt. Marner's trajectory is actually the most worrying . Matthews bounced back nicely last year after a bad 22-23 but marner fell off even more.

Tavares actually had a bit of an underrated year last year. By far his best on-ice impact as a Leaf last year, despite arguably his toughest usage. Without a huge drop in offense. Makes him much more re-sign-worthy if he can be a possession beast at center still even as his hands drop off.
