In Leafs Forum History... an anthology.

I think FloydianLeaf would be enjoying this era a lot more than the previous one, but he had a pretty good era before his passing, and he got to meet his favourite Leafs and the two main guys behind Pink Floyd before departing. Pretty amazing actually how that happened.

I remember fondly meeting with Floyd, some of the greats on here. BeLeafer and Zeke at the same time and SAME place!!!!. Was of course a pleasure.
 
I'll still ride with that Burke take. Loved him as GM, still think we fired him too early/especially to give the reigns to Nonis.

...but just like Rask/Raycroft, trading away the picks that became Saad, Rakell, & John Gibson, dealing what amounted to Seguin + Dougie Hamilton+ for Kessel, signing Phaneuf etc......theyve all thankfully been wiped clean with "don't care got Matthews"

Anything I might have stressed over, is Mr. Clean magic eraser'd by tha gawd.

I started posting the season we traded for Owen Nolan. I think it was 2003 as I had just started at my job in aurora when I signed up with Scout.
 
T-1000 is still my favourite. If only because the T-1000 loses at the end of the movie, it was the perfect call by a fanbase convinced that they had multiple titles coming their way.

Other favourites:

- I understand the mind of the professional athlete better than you do because I coach volleyball
- Wellwood/Higgins...but only because we both lost.
- The Matthews/Laine argument pre draft
- The forum being in on save percentage something like 5+ years before the rest of the hockey watching universe accepted it as the best individual goaltending stat available
- Hurrican Mitsin (I think that was his rap name before he found medications and jesus)
- Tim ****ing Brent
- Nik Antropov, 30 goal scorer
- The board members who were happy about the Steen/Cola trade. "Steen is nothing special".
 
Tlusty's "cock gate" and our resident homosexual at the time's reaction to it also....uhhh...sticks out

The epic overconfidence of Sens fans every year was perhaps the greatest time on these boards.

I'm pretty sure you weren't alone. I remember digging through years of goalie statistics to pull out as many guys who had been traded from bad teams to good and vice versa, to prove that team defence didn't have a significant impact on SV%
 
Let’s not forget Markov vs Kaberle and zeke vs well pretty much everyone.

HabsAddict was a sheer delight too.

I’ve had some pretty epic meltdowns myself.

Fun times.
