I like that we didn't. If we want more of the old boys club then just hire an old boy as coach. I like the fresh approach.

I'm also fine with the current coaching. The team is exactly where the roster suggests they should be.

I don’t see how having someone with experience and having a fresh perspective conflicts. MSL is still the person in charge but having someone with experience to bounce his ideas with would help.

Roger Grillo is a very “seasoned” and highly respected coach in US hockey circles - USA hockey have based their training, systems & concepts / tactics on his inputs over the last couple of decades including UDNTDP, Division I colleges & youth hockey

Scotty couldn’t overcome having 2-regular Dman over age 23 w < 3 yrs experience on his nightly roster.

What we’re witnessing are growing pains towards maturity..

I like the fresh approach too...but innovation doesn't always work, and I'm ok with that.

HuGo will know if MSL ain't improving. If that's the case, he bows out to be closer to home and we try another startup coach
