It's been a long four years, the return of the magic number thread

it's all gravy considering we were eyeing a lotto draft pick 2 months ago
I agree, we tend to miss that, if they miss the playoffs tied with Columbus they will realize how important every win is, if they make it in, they will need to learn how to find the next gear.. all good however i have 93 fever and want to see him play more this season lol

CBJ have 25OA road record and Phi are 6-1-1 since Torts got canned
And the Blackhawks, I am told, are a bad team.

None of that matters.

Columbus will win because they must and because neither Philly nor the Islanders gives a shit either way. We will lose because we aren't good at fuck all else right now.

I want HuGo to gut this roster like a fucking mackerel this summer. There are players on this team who need to not be on it any longer. They need to go. I don't give a shit what, if anything, we get in return.

Look for callups tomorrow or Wednesday morning by Carolina. If that happens they're sitting players. If not, well, gotta win anyway.

Hopefully they get pushed into ot on one.

I still would rather get in by winning ourselves. I just don't understand the extended streaks. Lose 5, win 6, lose 3. So mercurial.
i would rather Flyers take them into OT (or win), so that we rest players vs Canes

In all the excitement I forgot about the Gaudreau factor. No wonder the Blue Jackets won't go away. Clearly and unlike the Leafs, Columbus is the actual "team of destiny".

I think it might be time for us to accept the fact that the Habs had their chance, had multiple chances, in fact, and they blew them all. This is not a team that thinks it can win on Wednesday night; this is a team that's hoping it won't need to win on Wednesday night.

they are in

Either way....they are too tired/gassed.....Caps will be well rested....they've been playing 110% for over a month.

This was bound to happen, and will probably be even worse against Caps...players have no legs, they're skating on empty....you saw it yesterday during breaks, guys like Gally, Suzuki, one knee on the ice taking their breathes.....Hawks players looked fine and full of energy
