Laval Rocket Thread

He’s able to be effective because of his positioning and active stick, both augmented by high IQ. Obviously net front will be a challenge.

He needs to be paired with a healthy Reinbacher…
And a large part of his positioning game is Hutson has developed a very strong understanding of how to use low center of gravity for better leverage vs bigger opposition he’s played against his entire hockey life

A gadget player is exactly what Hutaon is, and if you actually watched the entire video, you would know that Boisvert was not being dismissive nor derogatory about Hutson. He likes him. But he acknowledges that he has limitations that other, larger players don't have, hence the need for gadgetry.

Doug Flutie was a gadget quarterback. But he had a more successful career than your hero Dak Prescott will ever have, and a better career than your other hero Tony Romo had. I'd take Flutie in his prime over either of those underachieving stiffs.
Gadget player blocked a for sure goal yesterday and another two games ago.

Fucking narratives.

You don't call a player a gadget player in any way other than in a derogatory manner. Big Tony's eyes almost rolled back out of his head.

Flutie didn't have a better NFL career than those two, he won in the semi pro CFL which doesn't count.

Flutie's NFL career was more memorable than Romo's or Dak's. But unlike them, he relied on so-called "gadgetry" in order to survive. Kordell Stewart was another gadget QB. Nothing wrong with it. You use what you have to carve out a career. That's what Hutson is doing.

So no, it wasn't derogatory, merely a reminder that Hutson has limitations that will soon enough be used against him by opponents.

I think Simon mentioned it wasnt negative at all some good traits but size and strength will be an issue

As mentioned if he can be Spurgeon 2.0 , thats a great second round pick

Precisely.

I think he phrased it that way in order to give the pompom wavers a reality check. Calling Hutson a gadget player isn't a slight against the player. It's a shot at the fanboys who need to calm the fuck down and adjust their expectations for the player. Hutson is good, but he isn't the second coming of Larry Robinson.

his NFL career is not more memorable, he threw for less than 1/2 the yards the other two did/have, to say it is, simply put, is mentally retarded
