Laval Rocket Thread

5-0 loss. Rocket tried to avoid the bagel, they outshot Belleville 14-1 in the 3rd. Primeau's win streak is done.

As I said, look at the draft again. Not a good draft. Habs were luck to get Beck and Hutson after Mesar.

Very few names are currently in the NHL
No offense but 2 of the 3 taken right after him, Kulich and Lamaoureux, are playing in the NHL, and Howard is tearing it up in the NCAA this season (it's only the NCAA, I get it . . .).

He’s been in the bust status for a while now. Too bad though, he had a good start of the season then got injured.
I don’t believe in calling someone a bust too quickly but he’s now in his D + 3 season and his AHL numbers suck so at this point, I feel fine doing it.

He's in the Farrell category right now.

It was a weird pick at the time. Small fast guy when we had Gallagher, Caufield and Farrell seemed like a legit prospect. And there was Luneau, L'amoureux and Warren still available.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I knew nothing about Mesar but, it's puzzling what they saw in him to take him in the first round.

So cherry picking the guys out of a hundred. 20/20 hindsight is so awesome.

I don't consider any pick outside the top 10-15 a bust because the probabilities of them making it are low to start with. You're expecting a guy with less than 20 % shot at being something to actually be something.

It's all dart throwing.

Dont think the pick had anything to do with Slaf going 1

I dont understand teams taking these smallish finesse skilled forwards in the later first round where most are top 6 or bust

The majority never pan out or bounce from team to team

Teams take Knies or Cuylle types later in the second round who have size and skill , at worst these guys are solid third liners with a defined role

We had 3 picks in the top 33, we took a risk. If it was our only first round pick, I'm thinking we might have taken a higher floor player.

The majority of players don't pan out.
