Mailloux played a big role for the AHL’s Laval Rocket this season and got a brief taste of NHL experience with the Habs, scoring twice in seven games. While he’s certainly not a player Montreal has to move, the belief is he could be had in the right deal.

They are set up pretty nicely with Guhle, Hutson, Reinbacher and maybe Logan

But, yeah, most NHL prospects are overrated.

So deep prospect pools are relative

Shallow pool with 2 elite players is way better

I don’t care ultimately about the team as much as the individual performances

If i had to chose between losing and having guys like Mailloux, Reinbacher, Beck, Xhekaj progress or winning because Condotta and Gignac played out of their minds, I’d choose the former
