Leaf Rumours

I don't like the Kunitz signing for Pitt.

They are better off with another 50 point winger for 2 million, and then an added player on D, or another 50 point winger for the other $2 million.

Yeah, count me among those who would like Nik at $4M right now.

For me though, from the current roster, I think Kessel, Kulemin, and Bozak (and Stalberg) are the only must keeps. But I would really prefer to keep Stajan and Poni and trade all the rest.

well keep in mind that they brought in kunitz to get out of that awful whitney contract.

best goalie in the NHL?

don't be silly. He's a young backup who's had a great start as a rookie backup.

Bruins have $8.2m locked up in their goalies the next two years, and can't score. They gotta trade something.

And they'd be lucky to get an elite player like Kaberle back in a deal for their 22 year old goalie with 25 games of NHL experience.

Their goaltending becomes as shaky as ours if they trade Rask for Gus, not to mention give us our 1st back at the same time.

And it's possible that Rask is the real deal and improves from here on out, rather than dips.

Then they have a green Gus and Thomas on his last legs.

There's just no way they trade Rask.

What do you think the leafs could offer the habs for Halak.. I am liking him alot.

I don't think they want anything, but it would be interesting to see...

Beauch for Halak and something... would be sweet.

Whitney's a shit show in his own end, they needed a winger that could put the puck in the net, and they also got a pretty good prospect in Tangradi.

So comparing Kunitz's stats to Whitney's doesn't really tell you much.

Beauchemin for Halak?

you guys don't seem to understand the value of goalies, especially backup goalies.
