That defence is absolutely atrocious. Blake Kessel just might get a chance at regular minutes this season depending on how well he performs for Adirondack to start the year.

After the Vincent Lecavalier signing, the #Flyers are currently around $300K over next season's cap, including injured Chris Pronger.
 
Just heard today at the coffee shop, via a top cheese of MLSE that Nonis had an agreement with Carolina for the fifth overall pick in return for Gardiner and our first, just before it was supposed to be announced, they tried to strong arm him into our second on top of it. Since he wanted Bolland as well as Monahan, he vigorously declined.

Now I love Gardiner, but man, it would have been cool to pick a guy that goes over to my partners house all the time in the summer who was our future number one center. Sort of bummed. But happy at the same time that we keep Gardiner, who I think is the most exciting dman I have ever seen in Toronto, save that one season of Brian Leetch.
 
5 years and a NMC. **** that. I'm glad Nonis didn't bite with those terms. I could deal with the 5 years but not the NMC
 
So surprised Lecavalier didn't sign in Canada.

Let's just assume Bozak is gone. I have absolutely zero interest in him now that we have Bolland and I sincerely hope Nonis feels the same way.

Ok here's the backstory: Weiss grew up a few streets over from me, and my sister when she was younger (12) hung out at this pool hall that Weiss would frequent on Main St Markham. One day he showed up in his new ford that he purchased he pulls into the court and my sister goes across the street to greet him, he gets out and asks her "Hey would you like to go on a date sometime", she replied with "NO, I'm only 12", he got back in his ford and drove off.
