Weiss has been a ~ 50 points center in his best days ... that's not much of an improvement over Bozak.

Nah, he was a 60 pt centre playing with very meh wingers. Bozak is a 45-50 pt centre who seems to be dragging down the production of our star player.

Weiss is better defensively than Bozak, true, but Bozak can still learn to play better defense at a relatively young age. Weiss is much older, and also doesn't add anything on the physical presence.

He's an upgrade defensively, and similar in physicality, but much stronger on the puck than Bozak who is pansy pussy soft on the puck.

You already know Bozak fits in well in the dressing room, and has good chemistry with Kessel. Why pay more for an older center in Weiss and risk chemistry issues?

Because I'm not particularly concerned about Bozak's chemistry with Kessel during their Call of Duty marathons...what matters is, that when they're on the ice together, that don't have good chemistry at all, because Bozak isn't a good enough hockey player to compliment Kessel at all, and has been suggested in numerous statistical analysis available on the intertubes, has actually been dragging Kessel down with him.

As for Weiss being much other...isn't the difference like 2-3 years? Bozak is 27 and Weiss 29-30, no?

So far we've lost Frattin, Scrivens, MacArthur, Grabovski, 3 draft picks and potentially Bozak and added Bolland and Bernier.

Lets hope this off-season turns for the good somewhere along the way.

I'm not the least bit convinced that Bozak-Kadri-Grabovski (12-13 version) is better than Kadri-Bolland-Colborne/McClement

Bolland is flat out a better hockey player than Bozak is, and was much better than last year's version of Grabovski (which is what we made the playoffs with).

Am I the only one who doesn't hate our centres from last year that weren't named Kadri & as a 4th liner, McClement?

Bozak & Grabovski were lead weights up the middle, Bolland is an upgrade on either of them....
