I'd like to think he can come in and help a young group learn to be professional....and help a PP...

The problem is he has no bottom 6 skills....and has less intangibles than a Jagr or Morrow.

I would look at him if I was young with hopes of the post season....maybe the Jackets?
 
I'd bank on him staying in the AHL...with the Brennan signing and us trying to dump Liles, I don't really see a fit on the Leafs blueline.
 
Ranger is not going anywhere ... last season with the Marlies Ranger not even once faced the camera in post-game interviews, not even in the playoff ... he isn't ready for the media-crazy Leafs.
 
Not looking for applause, chestthumping or even attention, but since two guys who I least expected to congratulate me on my Gauthier inside call, did so,(and I really am appreciative that they did) is it NOT time for Mindzeye, a guy I seem to get along with great in PM's, but who loves to take huge swinging right hands at me openly on the forum, to perhaps admit that YES, INDEED, Clarkson has a very strong personal relationship with Wendel Clark?

I mean its all over the newspapers now, at least here in Kitchener how Clarkson is doing a camp with Wendel and how everyone is calling Clarkson, Wendel Clarkson because of how close they are?

M.E. Is it not time to at least admit that maybe some of us here, might have the occasional insight that is actually true? Maybe little OLD me?

When you own up to Mike Komisarek, Jake...Jake Horton, Iginla,Forsberg, Lupul hates Carlyle and will never re sign, etc.

Clarkson to Toronto was a rumour that started months before the end of the season. I've never doubt that some of the people here have solid sources. Killer for example, was spot on with breaking stuff during the free agent period this year. He was saying it here before any of the talking heads in the twitterverse were getting it out.

I've simply seen you be wrong too many times, and hilariously wrong...impossibly wrong. I know, as most of us here know, that you have contacts with some former NHL'ers, nobody has ever disputed that. But I think that far too often, you use that to pass off your personal opinion as some sort of insider information.

Even if you nail something now, it's too late. You're the boy who cried wolf.

Unfortunately a player's contract usually provides a framework to judge said player with their on-ice performance. Clarkson will be a nice contributor to this team but he is unlikely to live up to his price tag. The good news is Toronto loves its tough guys and will likely give him more of a pass. If we had signed a soft/skilled player to that amount, any prolonged slump would send Cox and co. on a hunt for blood.

Can't wait for the start of the season. Think this squad will be a lot tougher to play against.
 
The guy will lead the team in Gordie Howe hat-tricks, he's destined to be a fan favourite. Get you jersey now (#23), before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon.
