Leaf Rumours

Really? Leiweke looks like a patient guy to you guys?

I just dont see pre-Leiweke Leafs/management having a long enough leash to not make the playoffs.

Or a guy willing to be patient with youth...or with anything, for that matter.

This isnt a problem with youth, man Chicago was/is a lot younger then us and they have won 2 cups since 2010. The problem with leaf players is most (not all) don't give a shit, they're content making their $5-6M a season and half assing it, has nothing to due with youth more to do with entitlement issues.

Patrick Kane beat up a cabbie over 20 cents. It's not an "entitlement" issue.

Agreed. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more immature player in the game off the ice than Patrick Kane. It's balanced out by veteran leadership guys like Toews, Hossa, Keith, and Seabrook being there though.

Yeah, we have some of the right type of veterans in Phaneuf & Lupul, but we need more of that. 2-3 more legitimately good veteran hockey players. Mind you, Bolland is a pretty ideal add with that in mind. I think we're missing big game Dave in a big way right now, but we need another "Dave Bolland" in the top 4 on the blueline and a higher skilled veteran in the top 6 for leadership. Too many of our most important, most talented players are kids just finding their way in the league.

love loops and i think he's grown up since, but can't say i'm thrilled that the dude who ended up at a party on a 'celebrity rehab' episode is basically the team's key vet leader.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post: "Boy oh boy, would the Maple Leafs love to find a taker for Nazem Kadri."

He's been disappointment this year. I'd be surprised if the Leafs were shopping him though. They also need to find a way to keep Holland in the lineup with Bozak back. We're just starting to see what he's capable of right now. Would be a shame to see him sit.

That guy is an idiot. Naz has been the best player on that line for the last little while (overall his two way game has been quite good). In fact that's the only thing i complained about before. If he had more competent wingers when it comes to work along the boards, he'd be getting rewarded a lot more. Absolutely no complaints about his game. I'd rather get rid of JVR and get a first line guy with some muscle. Watch now when Bozak comes back and Naz goes to a new line, he'll be back to getting points once again..

Sees quote first, gets scared and irritated.

Sees that it's quoted from Larry Brooks as the source. Relaxes and starts laughing.

Not just shopping him, but the fact NO NHL team wants him!

Yeah, Larry Brooks is the Al Strachan of New York's media. No concern whatsoever about anything he has to say.

Kadri's always been worthless according to the media. Just a year ago, they had him written off as a bust at 22 years of age.
