Leafs acquire Matt Murray

One thing that seems to be the case, is he doesn't do great when his hand is forced and everyone knows it.

Everyone knew he kinda had to trade Kadri. Everyone knew he needed a goalie now. Everyone knew he needed to dump Marleau.

It's really only the Foligno one that was a horrible, horrible unforced error. The Zeke prediction wasn't even enough to scare him straight.

He can be, yes. But holy shit this is not a god place to be in when you absolutely need to be great in the regular season+have playoff success.

This year, we're going to all agree in the end that goalies don't matter much. Know why?

Because either we ride Murray past the first round with similar or even worse stats than Jack and Freddy because the offense steps up.

Or we lose in the first round under similar circumstances to prior seasons.

We should all be very confident that, if he's healthy, he'll put up very nice numbers with this team in front of him and make the playoffs in one of the high seeds.

I would like to see us with a better option given what has to happen this year. I also would have liked to not see Dubey being bent over in this trade, as there was no other team they could trade Murray to.

I'd have liked another 25% retention, but I doubt our roster will be dramatically different without that extra $1.5M.
 
Apparently they were working out Murray at the Mastercard centre these past few days. That was the medcal check up
 
I visited the Soo. Jesus, why does Dubey remember it so fondly? It their mall like 75% of the people use those scooters.
