But a healthy Murray has been a ~.920 guy before and behind teams that weren't as good defensively as this group is.

Also...we just need a heater out of him in the spring and whatever he does the rest of the season doesn't matter.

This thread confirms what I was saying in the other threads. Everyone basically not named mbow thought this was insane to take the full cap hit at the time (though he rationalized it that it was one of the best moves available because dubas was backed into a corner). He had something like the third worst save percentage in the last four years or whatever. He had super low value at the time for that cap hit risk on top of it.

It’s great he’s playing so well, but we should have never taken on the full cap and I don’t see this proof anywhere that there were a bunch of other suiters from a reputable source (unless I can’t find it). So will be interested in 20 years to get the real story of what happened to cause dubas to react and not let things play out (I agree with leafsman take in this thread I think the sens were gonna buy him out)
