He may actually be able to step into the NHL. Was a ppg at the Olympics which is basically AHL level competition, and is 22. Also everyone raves about his elite hockey iq.
His college stats don't get me too horned up tbh. But hopefully he's a player. Or a useful trade chip at the very least. I agree though, at this age he's probably close to a finished product.
Also, after looking at the freshmen numbers of most NHLers who went the college route … I think Knies’ numbers are totally fine. There’s a ton of good players with comparable or worse.
