Leafs - Sens - Habs 2013-14

I'm vacationing in Florida.

You have the money to vacation some place nicer. Why not Europe or some off the beaten path destination like Montenegro or the Seychelles?

Yeah nice time of year to lie on the beach in Kotor!

:lol

Seychelles are freaking far away too dude. Who wants to spend all that time and money to fly all the way over there?

Meh. This was a great resort on something we could afford.

We'd prefer to take a few less expensive trips vs. one monster event.

Plus, I don't love flying.

As for the people who missed my "I'll be gone for a week" message and decided to claim that we've been quiet...why would we be quiet?

In the 8 days since I left the Sens got 5 of a possible 8 points against 4 good squads - three of them being top teams in their conferences. Nothing to be upset about there.

As for the Sens/Leafs game. I didn't watch it, of course. One guy had a tablet but the wifi wasn't strong enough. But from the extended game highlights it looked like a pretty even affair. The Kadri hit is a joke, not because I think the hit was all that bad (Ceci didn't turn at all) but because the officials/league make that call 99% of the time this year. I simply can't understand how that gets ignored - especially when it leads to the tying goal. Should have been 2-1 with the Sens going on a 5 minute PP and Kadri with an ejection. Again - not because I think the hit was brutal, but because that's been the leagues approach all season.

Well, if you exclude the Phil Kessel vs Bobby Ryan match up, then yeah, maybe you could consider it sort of even.

And, as your goalie pointed out, if Lupul wasn't wide open in front of the net the Kadri hit doesn't matter in the end. Wasn't worth 5 minutes, but easily could have been a 2 minute minor for boarding. Ceci even admitted he turned too, so good luck arguing that one.

Why would I exclude the Kessel/Ryan thing? I admitted Kessel has pulled away hard and proved me wrong before I went away. Try to keep up.

I shouldn't have said Ceci didn't turn at all. Ceci turned (like alot of guys do to protect the puck) but it wasn't a last minute thing. Kadri had more than enough time not to continue with that hit. Sure Lupul was left alone...missed coverage happens and it sucks.

But the league/officials will almost always call that play and we all know that to be the case.
