Leafs - Sens - Habs 2013-14

Why would I exclude the Kessel/Ryan thing? I admitted Kessel has pulled away hard and proved me wrong before I went away. Try to keep up.

I shouldn't have said Ceci didn't turn at all. Ceci turned (like alot of guys do to protect the puck) but it wasn't a last minute thing. Kadri had more than enough time not to continue with that hit. Sure Lupul was left alone...missed coverage happens and it sucks.

But the league/officials will almost always call that play and we all know that to be the case.

Yeah, and we still outscored you 4-1 in the third period.

The only way you could consider the game to be 'even' is if you ignore Kessel's performance. The Leafs also handily outshot the Sens, which is a rarity for us, and throws further cold water on your notion that the game was 'mostly even'. The Sens had at most two good scoring chances all game, and got lucky that Bernie didn't seem capable of making a save on Chris Neil.

The Kadri hit was borderline at best though, I don't think you'll get too much argument about that on here. Like I said, easily could have been a boarding call. Ceci did turn, and Kadri didn't get him squarely from behind, but still a borderline hit at best.

The game was tied until 6 minutes left in the 3rd. That includes 2 of Kessels 3 goals.

Again, I didn't watch much of the game at all - but from the brief view and the boxscore it looks like a reasonably even game until that last push by the Leafs.

It's not like the Sens got outshot 2:1 by the Panthers or anything :)

The game was tied sure, but the Sens struggled all night to generate much of anything offensively, and if not for two pretty weak goals let in by Bernie it would have been more of a cakewalk for the Leafs. And that's acknowledging that the Leafs looked like crap in the first period.

Kessel hasn't "pulled away". He was away in a different league to start off with, everywhere except for your imagination, corky.

If anyone's "pulling away", it's JVR from Ryan.

As for the people who missed my "I'll be gone for a week" message and decided to claim that we've been quiet...why would we be quiet?

Because January was the Sens' best month by a large margin and you still finished the month further back from us than you started.

5 points back. 1 game in hand.

The slow start to the season really pooched us. It's going to be a dog fight, we all knew this.

I'm aware. And before the 109 point pace January... 4 points back and 1 game in hand.

And no, "we all" did not know this. Sensible's been yapping for months about "reality".

Meh. This was a great resort on something we could afford.

We'd prefer to take a few less expensive trips vs. one monster event.

That's pretty much the way to do it. 3-4 vacays a year instead of one. There's not a damn thing wrong with Mexico, Cuba, DR, Costa Rica, etc

Plus, I don't love flying.

Bitch

Ah. I remember those "only 4 points back with 2 games in hand and on fire but impossible to make up any ground because of 3 point games" days.

Objects in your rearview mirror are further than they appear in the NHL.

Well, also depends what you want from your vacay. I'm not much of a resort person, I'd rather live like a hobo and get to explore new places/cultures and do things other than sit on the beach. Also different if you're doing a couple trip too I suppose.

This summer I did a month in southeast asia, for what I spent could have likely done several smaller Caribbean/resort type trips, but wouldn't change it in hindsight.

Yeah, I feel that. Though you can still rip off a bunch of short, fairly inexpensive culture trips. Anything south of Panama though and you run into the problem of 7 days just not being enough.

It's just a lot easier to get away from life for a week at a time for most people. A lot of careers simply aren't conducive to ****ing off to S.E Asia for 4 weeks.
