Les Habitants Prospects Thread

finally, he WON'T be recalled. Apparently, Montreal changed its mind. Halak will catch up with the team in Boston. The guy is not in town right now.

The one thing this team has is grit. They will not let anyone take cheap shots at teammates. Not sure what started White's fight but Whitey handled him pretty well. At the end Hodgman was really upset looked like he was going to push the linesman. Rosehill, who was touted as a Leaf tough guy at the beginning of the season ran MaxPac from behind. Henry kicked his ass and Rosehill was yapping the rest of the game but did nothing much physical. Didn't see the start of Stewey and Deveaux as the Marlies were going down the ice and actually scored but it was waived off. Conboy who is still learning took exception to an opern ice hit on a teammate I think Russell and followed suit. Good scrap. From what I've read about the Habs, they could use some of this attitude in Montreal.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

The first thing I ever really noticed with Conboy that stood out was in the development camp in 2007 right after the draft. There were doing a 3 on 3 scrimmage, and Conboy is on the ice with two others, don't remember who. One of the players is taking the puck up the ice and has his head down. PK Subban was on the other team and noticed this, and took the chance to give the guy a clean open ice body check. Conboy went right after PK and he was ready to start swinging. They talked a little on both sides and then they were separated for a line change.

Conboy may never make it to the NHL, but if he does, it'll because of this.

Talent Analysis
Palushaj boasts a good all-around game.
He can snipe goals with his quick shooting, and his stickhandling and playmaking abilities are also strong.
He doesn't mind physical play, willing to dig in the corners to win the puck.

Future
Scoring winger.

Note: was the 4th ranked prospect in the Blues (ranked #1) system.

Dogs win 4-1.

Wyman scored three goals (11th, 12th & 13th) and Russell (13th) had the other.

Desjardins stopped 25 of 26 shots for the W.

I'll watch parts of the Hamilton Bulldogs - Chicago Wolves game tonight.

I missed the first period, but it's 1-1. 14th of the season for Russell, assisted by Wyman & Trotter.

Holy crap what a play by Subban to set up the second goal by Wyman.

This move. Except of cuttting to the front, he passes it right on the stick of TJ Wyman to shoot in an empty net. What a play!

Point shot by Benoit (I think) was stopped and Glumac was there for the rebound to make it 3-1

Damn. Scramble in front, Dany Massé is wide open and shoots, thinks he scores, but he shot the puck right on the goalie. Still 3-1.

Subban is too good for that league...he's ready for the NHL.

He's definitely ready for the NHL... however I don't think it could hurt to let him dominate in the AHL for the rest of the year and get a fresh start out of training camp next year.

After the third goal, a friend came over and I didn't watch any of the game after that.
