So no other team in the league would have traded for him? Right...Cmon , why the hell would Yzerman move a young star for a 19 year old rookie
He was grossly overrated , soft as butter and pouting
If he wasnt French there is no trade
We kinda did the same with for dachSo no other team in the league would have traded for him? Right...
Tampa had reasons to trade him, which were stated in another post. Montreal had reasons to want him besides just being French. I highly doubt Montreal was the only team interested in a former 3rd overall draft pick that just scored 21 goals and 53 points as a 21 years old and had 14 points in 17 playoffs games as a 20 years old.
I had real hope for Drouin but putting him at centre fucked him over big time. Then his injuries, insomnia, anxiety took over and it was over for him in Montreal. I wish him the best wherever he ends up.So no other team in the league would have traded for him? Right...

He was on the block for 2 years , no bueno offers until Nero handed over a lottery pickSo no other team in the league would have traded for him? Right...

If you say it, it must be true.He was on the block for 2 years , no bueno offers until Nero handed over a lottery pick
He is such an idiot. Doubles, triples, quadruples on everything because he just can't be wrong. If you say it, it must be true.
I don't know any team that put their 3rd overall pick on the block a year after drafting them.
Molson was on Melnick’s show and said, following NYR loss in 2017 playoffs, the plan was to resign both Radulov & Markov to a set amount, replace Emelin (who was being exposed to expansion draft) by Alzner for the same cap hit, and add to the offense by acquiring Drouin to play W.Cmon , why the hell would Yzerman move a young star for a 19 year old rookie

I was disappointed too but Drouin was a major let down. Had he just not reached his potential it would have been one thing, and still a bad trade, but he regressed to the point of being near useless. Drouin in TB wasn’t a bad player. We never got that version. Even TB announcers couldn’t recognize the player they use to watch 2 years after the trade.I can understand the disappointment with that trade. I was disappointed too. It made no sense to trade a top prospect Dman who had both size and mobility for an undersized forward with some previous issues. I guess the only consolation is that the jury was still out whether or not Sergachev was elite, but last season , he put up some monster numbers.
I recall he said he could play centre, not a demand but you might be right.Yeah, but if I recall correctly he was insistant? It was a shitty situation all around.
He's going to be just fine. This will be a GGpX mea culpa I think. At least he admits it unlike the bobsy twins.Another nice set-up pass by Beck. 2-1 Seattle in the 3rd.
I’ll maintain Beck was the steal of the draft - return on draft position basisHe's going to be just fine. This will be a GGpX mea culpa I think. At least he admits it unlike the bobsy twins.
I've backed off "steal of the draft". What I do see though is a solid NHLer. Even if he tops out middle six it was a good pick. We need players like that with size, not 5'10".I’ll maintain Beck was the steal of the draft - return on draft position basis
I see more & more of ROR in BeckI've backed off "steal of the draft". What I do see though is a solid NHLer. Even if he tops out middle six it was a good pick. We need players like that with size, not 5'10".
