While Trevor Timmins, the Canadiens' director of recruitment, was reluctant to talk about individual players, he did venture the opinion that Pacioretty is "head and shoulders" above his peers.

"This isn't an evaluation camp," Timmins explained. "What we're trying to do is develop the players' skills. We've spent a lot of time working on fundamentals. In some cases, players are being exposed to things they've never seen before or things that they don't have a lot of time to do with their teams."

Anyone get the feeling they will talk Pac into playing in the Hammer then the Habs next season?

It's great news to have a power forward fast tracked.

Right now, I firmly believe MaxPac will turn pro, in fact I'd be very surprised if he went back to Michigan. I also feel he'll make an impact in training camp like Latendresse did.

Pacioretty and Maxwell should be an exciting duo!

Carle is also doing well at the development camp and should impress again at training camp!

Another player to note is Ryan White. He's really made some strides this year and has a great arsenal of shots.

Some/All? guys on this site that saw the scrimmages said White was lazy...hmm, maybe he's Joe Thorton/Lemeiux lazy because he makes it look effortless?!

I think Pacioretty will be signed in the New Year, and join Hamilton for the stretch run & playoffs (if they qualify) - I get the feeling the Habs brass want him to play a substantial role at the WJC, on a strong US team this year. But yes, I see him making the 2009-2010 NHL roster.

I believe Pacioretty is too old for the world juniors, already.

Skill competitions and exercises aren't White's bread and butter. He shines in a real game situation.

Anyway, I was referring to White's performance yesterday. He wowed a couple people with his shots.

new signing for the farm. Well, at least I hope so.

Hey folks got some interesting news on goalie prospect Jason Missiaen for the Peterborough Pete's he is the 6'7 goalie. Great news is from what I am hearing the kid has bulked up, and is weighing over 215 pounds now. Talking with the head of marketing for the Pete's about a game night I am running with them and according to him these are his keys:

- When down in butterfly he covers the entire bottom of the net
- His head is still above the crossbar
- and his glove and blocker naturally cover the top corners.

This kid might just really pan out in a few years, or be great trade bait.

The only problem with him is he doesn't have really good reflexes.

But, heck, with his size, it'll compensate.
