I think Perezhogin is ready for another crack at the NHL...someone should offer him decent coin to come back.

Since he's played in Europe this season, he would need to clear waivers to re-join the NHL. Bob won't take the chance. That also means he's not going to be a "throw in" in any deals we might make this season.

Pretty interesting thing I found:

A shift by shift and period by period analysis specifically of
D prospect Alexei Emelin.

http://www.russianprospects.com/public/article.php?article_id=598

Examples:

Summary: PK shift, he played aggressively on the boards and then he kept position with no dangers coming out on his zone.
Shift#9 23'58" - 24'29"

Summary: Nothing to report, his line played only twelve seconds then allowed a goal to Barys. He has zero responsibilities as the goal came from a left flank shot, Emelin was checking Stumpel in the center.
Shift#12 33'11" - 33'23"

That would indeed be former Panthers Josef Stumpel who Emelin checked,
in goal for his team...former Isles Goalie Wade Dubielewiczk (something like that)

Kinda cool actually.

Third period recap and overall summary for those who didn't read the entire game report....

Disco

Summary: Bilyaletdinov must trust him if he iced Alexei in the most delicate situation of the game, with the go-ahead goal just scored and the opponents without the goalkeeper. The situation risks to precipitate because of a penalty whistled against Panin, but an avoidable reaction by Kloucek puts the team at even strength. In this difficult situation Emelin did well his job, covering well his zone with also a good clean hit in the dying seconds of the game.

Third period summary: Similarly to the second period, he has been a little unconsistent and also he looked a bit tired. He played well when he had to, though, and has been iced in the most difficult moment of the match, a good sign. Also, he didn't got any penalty minute, another sign of playing well.

Emelin's game in numbers

Time on ice: 14'57" in 19 shifts (average shift lenght: 47,2 seconds)
Passes: 17/20 (85,0%)
Key passes: 0
Hits: 3
Turnovers: 1
Takeaways: 3
Penalties: 0
Shoots: 1
Shoots breakdown: 1 blocked
Assist: 0
Goals: 0
+/-: even

Game summary: Alexei Emelin has played a more than decent game, looking solid back in the zone and okay when in possess of the puck. He also concluded the game even. He could have played a little bit more offensively, but what matters for a defender like him is the defensive coverage.

Grade: B-
Interesting game. The opponent was nothing special, but I believe that he played well back in his zone, stopping nicely the opponents sometimes, but also looking not out of place while with the puck. He has got a very good passing percentage, but that's only because his passes were mostly tape-to-tape. He deserves a good mark, but should be more brave and creative in the offensive zone, as he tends too much to play out of risk instead of trying to serve a team mate in a good position or to showcase his strong slapshot.

And it appears our D prospect Korneev (pretty damn good actually) is Cpatain of his team.

Konstantin Korneev (Montreal Canadiens) - captain of CSKA played well, passing the puck precisely and played reliably in his own zone.An impressive skater, he played with confidence throughout the game.

Kinda cool stuff for those interested in our prospects all the way down the line.

Last I read, mini-speedy Maxim Trunev is not getting much game/ice time with a strong team, hope that turns around, it's a big step for him from Russian "Juniors"?? to the top league, KHL.
