It's also been proven over and over again by our neighbours down south especially that the members of this moment have neither the interest in or capability to govern or actually work constructively with anyone. Bitching and moaning from the sidelines is their wheelhouse, but when they end up in government it's like a dog unexpectedly catching the car it was chasing.

Hypothetically? If Venezuela regime change goes well and they're able to still hang onto power after the midterms there would be a window of possibility.

Very unlikely though, but not nearly as ridiculous a thought as it was 12 months ago.

We're getting in on bulk purchases the Europeans were already going to make, which should help lower per unit costs on the stuff we buy. It will somewhat limit our choices as we won't have a ton of input on which items in which categories are being purchased, but it seems like a good way to get new kit for a bit cheaper.

Hopefully it means that Canada is going to join Europe in putting boots on the ground in Ukraine. Can't wait for the conscription notice to arrive in Count's mailbox for his son. We'll make a hero of him yet. 🤣
