New Canadian Politics Thread

Chance of accusations of election fraud from south of the border when JT wins a massive majority in the next election is pretty much 100% now right? Maybe even from the Conservatives at this rate.

... I actually am seing this in every other tweet now (still have another 6 hours to go before I can actually tweet tho).

Something about Elections Canada losing mail in ballots.

Pretty funny stuff.

At the same time as he’s painting Trudeau as a tyrant for the Federal intervention against the occupation of Ottawa, Kenney was begging for Federal assistance to break up Alberta’s border blockade:

No different when their provincial health policy no doubt played some part in their ICUs being over capacity to the point where they cried to other provinces for help a few number of months ago. Really not significantly different when the Cons had given a bunch of people in the province on income assistance one way Greyhound tickets to BC (ok, that was decades ago, but I can whine about that if they're still crying about the National Energy Program over 40 years later heh).

"The latest:

47 people arrested so far on Saturday for a total of 170.
53 vehicles towed and 22 licence plates seized since Friday.
Ottawa police have used pepper spray on what they call assaultive behaviour.
Police say they deployed 'mid range impact weapons' after protesters assaulted officers with weapons.
Police have cleared the main encampment site in front of Parliament Hill."

That dude looks like a real-life South Park character.
What’s with the Conservative party’s attraction to people who have never held a job outside of politics? If they choose Poilievre that will be 2 of the last 3 leaders with zero life experience outside of politics who started working on Conservative political campaigns as teenagers.

No wonder they’re so out of touch.

Harper was also a career politician.

And they make fun of Justin for being a drama teacher. At least that shit was a viable career. Other than O'toole, who they held their nose for when they picked him, they were all coffee getters until they got into the CPC party structure.
