Carney's platform has some big nation building swings that are right up their alley fwiw. The housing plan sounds like it could have been drawn up by the NDP. Dental, pharma, etc. He's probably going to pull that Saab deal for the Gripen's shortly, and it will be built in Montreal.

A continuation of Liberal-NDP coalition with Carney subbed in for Trudeau works just fine for me.

But he’s a giga elite pinstipped banker who will likely downsize the bureaucracy. JT was a Dipper at heart, far more so than Carney.

Read his book. He's more progressive than people think. He couches it in some fairly traditional morality (the first chapters heavily rely on a lesson he learned directly from a comment the Pope made to him) but in practice it's very modern progressivism. He's a numbers nerd, so everything will always been viewed through that lens, but he sure seems ready to fix some problems with non market driven solutions.

Yeah, I think he’s ok with redistribution and big projects.

But I still think there will be some budget cuts, layoffs and there will be an opening for the Dippers.
