New Canadian Politics Thread

I hopped on the Queen streetcar in Toronto for the first time in a while last week.

There were two different people on it that were so high on Fentanyl or Heroin that they repeatedly swayed and fell right out of their seats and did a header into the wall or the floor. Usually took them at least a couple of minutes of laying there like a collapsed marionette before they worked up enough lucidity to realize what’d happened and crawl back into their seats.

Pretty fucked up.

yah I don't ride on the ttc much anymore living in hali but this is entirely consistent with the stories I hear from my brother. Queen streetcar in particular seems to attract these types :(

those labels are a little outdated;

Yeah, Carney is a central banker and his Goldman Sachs background should make him the dream Conservative candidate but they think he’s an environmental radical who is liberal on every social issue.

So yeah, not gonna lie, I didn't expect my preferred english language local Puerto Vallarta news website to be the only news source on this story...which uhh...makes me pretty skeptical? I mean, they're pretty excellent at letting me know which beach there have been crocodile sightings at (they come out to the ocean during the rainy season and head back to the rivers during the winter/tourist high season)

But as a source of international trade news....I'm fucking skeptical. I did a quick spin through el google and some of my favourite big mexican newspapers that would cover stuff like this and nada. So I'm super duper skeptical.

Yeah, it’s not real.

It does not appear to have a lot of mainstream mentions, so it's right to be skeptical. These sources all seem to be based on the YouTube video I posted, which has 210k subscribers and presents this info seriously, but we will need to see it corroborated by more reputable sources.
